Using the combination of our Cat 621E Motor Scraper and CAT D6T Dozer we undertook the reduce level excavation for the road box cut to a new access road, circa 4km long by 5m wide. During the construction period, our client asked us to take on the installation of sub base layers. This included the installation of 8000t of granular fill and geotextile membranes again using our Motor Scraper to speed up the process. All reduced level excavation and sub base installation was completed within a record breaking 4 weeks, assisting our client with programme and saving overall project costs.
